Parking ticket infront of garage door

Hi there,

So i got a parking ticket for 117$ for parking at 292 eleonor on march 24 2013. Basically I was parked in front of a garage door that many people park in front of and there is no no-parking sign posted on the door. It also says on the ticket they towed my car but it looks like they only pulled it 10 feet so that they could access the garage door.
what is the law regarding posting no parking signs? do i have a chance getting out of this?
thanks for your help.
